After a leak or a flood, the clock starts immediately. We extract the water, lift and dry what needs it, and treat the area to help prevent mold and lasting damage to the floor underneath.
Get the water out, get the air moving, and keep checking until it is actually dry.
If the carpet is wet and you did not mean for it to be, call.
As fast as you can. Mold can begin developing in wet carpet within 24 to 48 hours, and the pad and subfloor start absorbing water immediately. Same day extraction gives you the best chance of saving the carpet.
Clean water caught early, usually yes. Water that has been sitting for days, or water that was contaminated, often means the pad and sometimes the carpet have to go. We will look at it and tell you straight.
We can document what we find and what we did, which is usually what an adjuster needs. We do not bill insurance directly. Talk to your carrier first if you plan to file.
Stop the water source if you can and it is safe. Pick up anything sitting on the wet carpet, especially furniture with stained wood or metal feet.
We can, but it's case by case. Heavily contaminated water needs a licensed mitigation company. Call us if you're not sure, and we'll refer you elsewhere if needed.
